Oh, and I designed the cover too.

Just a reminder, Good Luck Sweet Cookie!, the second anthology from the North Carolina WebComic Coffee Clatch is still available. It contains my Chinatown Golem story, L'Chaim.

As he worked the clay, David recited the Zirufim from Reb Itzhak Kohen's diary. He bowed to the North, South, East, and West. He invoked the Four Elements, Earth in the clay, Water from the mikvah still glistening on the clay, Air from the breathe he was using to pray, and Fire... Fire... yeah, okay...

David moved his old toaster onto the puddle around the Golem and pressed down the lever.

When his vision cleared, David saw a porcelain goblin with glowing red eyes staring blankly ahead. The high salt content from the marsh at Chrissy Field had created an opalescent glaze on the surface of the clay.
