Today, on a visit to Chapel Hill with my wife, I backed my dad's pickup into a lamppost with the tailgate down.

No damage to the lamppost, no one hurt, but man it takes me back to high school.

I'm 40 years old and I had to call and tell my father I wrecked his truck.

Now to light a clove and crank Front 242.

You know, I HAD a little respect left for Nader... for his tenacity if nothing else.

Until today:

"To put it very simply, he is our first African American president; or he will be. And we wish him well. But his choice, basically, is whether he’s going to be Uncle Sam for the people of this country, or Uncle Tom for the giant corporations."
