To the underwater bicycle:

you must have taken someone
down with you. perhaps
that is why you were left
in shallow water,
when you could easily be
retrieved. clearly no one is
coming; furry water plants have grown
all over your frame (adept algae
must have taken their own
sweet time before
attaching resignedly to the un-
cooperative metal).
you are fortunate for such
companions, for it is commonly
acknowledged that fish
do not require
bicycles and you are
beneath
the notice of the swans.
