What I did today...

I was using a mini-sledgehammer to drive an old nail completely into a brick wall, so that I could mount new PVC conduit for new coaxial cable. On the third blow, the head of the nail shattered, driving a shard of metal into the base of my left thumb.

The shard was protruding about halfway, so I had no problem removing it and there was no blood but the metal was so hot that it raised a blister at the point of impact.

Tomorrow, how do I raise the bar in my mortification of the flesh marathon?

NOTE: I have already drilled into my palm and cut a finger half off with scissors in the past.
