Sometimes my mind is back in the alleys, rambling down Ambleside Lane...

Let’s see, what happened today...

Made biscuits and gravy with bacon for breakfast, had too much coffee.
Make lemon-sage chicken with pasta and tomato-mozzarella salad for dinner.
(No lunch, since I didn’t get out of bed till noon)
Also many small sweet plums were eaten.

Read about a lot of annoying-stupid-pushy people on LJ. Then discovered the MonkeySphere Theory and all is well now.

It’s hot. It will be hot all week. This is not automne! I want cool breezes and scattered showers like last week.

I like this song. Random on iTunes scores again.

Installed Konfabulator, got widgets. I have no idea how long the free trial is, but I think I’ll be buying. Either you understand or it probably doesn’t apply to you.

Tomorrow we go to the library, so I should finish another chapter of C∂úlhúvi∂a.

la_sherazade and I are heading to the UK soon, will be in Bristol, Edinburgh and London for a few days each. Anyone want to meet for a pint?

Simmering red beans with corn, peppers, onions, cilantro and lime...

If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man,
then wherever you go for the rest of your life,
it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.

-Ernest Hemingway to a friend, 1950

I am currently sitting in a small Left Bank apartment reading Hemingway reminiscing about living in a small Left Bank apartment when he was a few years younger than I am now. Eight decades later, the neighborhood feels familiar.
